• Limited Search by Product Name:
Customers could only search by bag name (e.g., “DUBG120AEP102”). Popular searches by vacuum model (e.g., “ELECTROLUX AirMax ZAM 6106”) did not work.
• Missing Link Between Bags and Vacuum Models:
The online shopoffers 2,500 products for over 30,000 vacuum models. The original search could not connect bag names with vacuum models. Magrano now displays precisely fitting products in the search suggestions.
• Word Order Issues:
The search struggled with altered word orders. For example, it could find “Bags DUBG120AEP102” but not “DUBG120AEP102 Bags.”
• Random Product Display:
Search results showed random products, often out of stock. Magrano considers stock availability, margin, sales volume, and other parameters, significantly enhancing efficiency and profitability.
• Lack of Brand and Category Support:
The search engine did not adequately filter products by brand and category, limiting options for customers.
• Ineffective Sorting of Results:
Most customers search for a specific vacuum model. Original search couldn’t identify if they wanted bags, filters, or other accessories. Magrano categorizes results into sections.
• Weak Full-Text Search:
Full-text search (after pressing Enter) suffered from the same shortcomings as the integrated search suggestions. With Magrano’s implementation, these full-text search limitations were resolved.
